Account and Data Deletion Policy
Effective date: 27/10/2026 · Version 2
1. How can you delete your account?
You can proceed from the “Delete my account” section in your profile and confirm the final deletion step. If you cannot access your account, you can ask for help at destek@watchlabb.com. Necessary and proportionate checks are carried out to verify that the request comes from the genuine account holder.
Using the delete button is an instruction to delete the account; it is not a general consent to the processing of personal data or a waiver of statutory rights. Before the final step, you are told that the account will be closed and that data which can be deleted may not be recoverable.
2. If there is an open transaction
An open store, an incomplete Trink Saat process or an unconcluded auction prevents deletion via the profile. An unconcluded auction covers a scheduled, live or sale-pending auction, a lot in which you are leading or which you have won, and a sale proposal awaiting a response. In this case, you can apply through the support channel. Open matters such as hand-over, payment, refunds or access are reviewed by Watchlabb, and the necessary steps to conclude them are communicated to you.
The existence of an open transaction does not mean that all your data will be kept indefinitely or that an application concerning your data rights will be left unanswered. The closure of the account, the ongoing transaction and the records that must be retained are assessed separately.
3. What happens when the account is closed?
Sign-in to the account and membership access end. Your profile and your published content are removed from areas visible to users; personalisation data that is no longer needed, such as favourites and notification preferences, is deleted or made incapable of being associated with your identity.
For an account that has never had any listing, bid, paid service, Trink Saat transaction or complaint record, no identity and contact archive is created; incomplete orders are also deleted. For such an account, only a deletion record consisting of the member number and the deletion date is kept. If you have given or withdrawn consent to commercial messages, the consent record is retained for the period stated in section 4.
Removing content from publication and destroying the underlying transaction record are not the same operation. It cannot be guaranteed that all copies of content that others have accessed or copied, or that search engines have cached, will be removed at the same time; the necessary and practicable removal steps are considered.
4. Which records may remain on a limited basis?
Records relating to a completed transaction are not automatically destroyed when the account is closed. For accounts that have a listing, bid, paid service, Trink Saat transaction or complaint record, the following records are retained, closed to general use:
Deleted account record: first name, surname, Turkish national identity number, e-mail, phone and, where applicable, store name; 10 years.
A summary of listing, auction, bid and Trink Saat records, together with only the cover photograph of each listing; 10 years. Other photographs and videos are deleted.
Records of acceptance of agreements and consents: text, version, time of acceptance, IP address and browser information; 10 years.
Order and payment records for paid services, 10 years; copies of invoices on the Platform, 5 years.
Records relating to a specific complaint, a request from a competent authority or an ongoing dispute, until the relevant process is concluded.
If you have given or withdrawn consent to commercial messages, the consent and withdrawal records are retained for 3 years after the account is deleted.
Retained records are closed to general use; they are not used for marketing or for a new membership. They are deleted when the period expires.
5. Didit, support and other providers
The 30-day deletion schedule for raw identity/face records in the Didit verification session is separate from the identity verification summary and the transaction archive held at Watchlabb. A valid request for deletion or for withdrawal of consent is assessed separately in terms of the relevant data categories and the instruction to be sent to the provider. The existence of the verification summary, the session ID and the necessary transaction evidence does not make it necessary to keep the raw face record. When an account is deleted, the Didit verification sessions and user record of a member with no transaction history are deleted; for a member with a transaction history, these records are deleted after 10 years.
Each message and attachment on the support line is deleted 30 days after the date on which it was sent. Necessary records set aside for a specific dispute may be kept for the duration of the relevant right. The payment provider’s own statutory records and your own copy of the conversation in WhatsApp are not automatically deleted when the Watchlabb account is deleted.
The necessary deletion/correction instructions are sent to providers that process data on behalf of Watchlabb. Database backups are kept for 7 days; during this period, records in backups are not made available for ordinary service use, and the deletion request is applied again on restoration. If a provider has an independent legal obligation, its scope is assessed separately.
6. Timing, objections and paid services
A deletion that can be completed through the account is started by the final confirmation. For requests that require additional review, the reason and the procedure to be followed are communicated. Applications under KVKK (Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698) are concluded as quickly as possible according to the nature of the request and within 30 days at the latest; copies in backups are automatically deleted within 7 days.
Deleting your account does not make a paid service you received in the past as though it had never been provided. Refunds and withdrawal are assessed in accordance with the nature of the service purchased, the start of performance, the necessary confirmations obtained at the time of purchase and mandatory legislation. No advance waiver of statutory refund rights is required as a condition of deletion.
You may object to the retention of part of your data and ask which records are retained and for what reason. The application methods and your other rights are explained in the KVKK Privacy Notice and Privacy Policy. The data controller is VISION VENTURES TEKNOLOJİ TASARIM VE PAZARLAMA ANONİM ŞİRKETİ, whose address is Caferağa Mah. Şifa Sk. No: 19, Kolektif House, Kadıköy/İstanbul.
